OMG it's SXSW!
One interesting facet of seeing bands perform at a huge festival such as SXSW is that you're so excited to see good music, unless a band is absolutely atrocious, you'll usually find something to like about them. And it is only when you witness something truly inspiring that you're able to put the previously viewed sets into perspective and realize the stuff you had seen before was only OK.
